Happy Saturday

Hello fellow bloggers!
What a gorgeous sunny day in Seattle. About time if you ask me. I did a lot of running around today. I had to get a new military ID this morning and boy I'm super proud of my photo LOL I look really good on my ID hahahaha =D Great success. Can't wait to show my hubby. After that, I cleaned my car, went grocery shopping, took Diego on a looong walk, cleaned a little, cooked and watched the voice. Phew.
Gotta keep myself busy since my husband is gone. I have no problem during the week since I work full time, but weekends are a whole new story :) Also I have not been feeling great since about 3 weeks I think, when I think it gets better I wake up with an extremely sore throat. WTF.
Enough talk. I bought shoes today!!!!!!!!!! Yay! They were on sale at payless. They are Christian Siriano (I also got a 10% military discount, who knew they did that??)

turquoise & blue

I can't wait for it to be warmer.

I also finally gave in and bought the Urban Decay Naked 2 :) Sephora had sent me a 15% off anything, plus I still had some left on my giftcard. I ended up paying $30.00

Yay for  haircut! About time. August was the last time I cut it! Letting it grow. I like it

I bought a Papasan Chair. I love it, it's really comfy. D loves it too :)

I did this mani last week.
Elf- Mint Cream
WnW- Party of Five Glitters

This is my current mani for Easter.
Julep- Alicia & Oscar

I love this color!!

How was everybody's saturday?

Happy Easter!

PS. Yea I just noticed I forgot to add my watermark to the pics. Oh well =D

She painted her nails again...

...I did it again. Today I had no idea how to paint my nails! I was hoping my moms package from Germany  would be waiting for me when I get home (she sent some polish ;-D) but no...so I used some oldies ;-) Why not??
 WnW-Silvivor
Essie- Matte over you
WnW- Party of five glitters

I've made a deal with myself not to buy new nail polish for at least 1 week or 2 :-D EXCEPT my Julep nail mail. We will see how long I will last.
Have you heard of Julep yet? JULEP is a nail subscription. Their colors and quality are amazing. I painted my nails and I think it lasted about 5 days (until I wanted a new color) could have gone longer. I have explained HERE how exactly it works. This months color are really pretty. I am still sticking with the BOHO Maven Box.
This months was really hard to pick, because ALL their boxes are really pretty.
BTW, you can get your first box for a penny if you use Code: COLOR2012
Can't wait for my Julep to ship!!
Buenas noches!
Carla♥

PS. On a side note: What is up with these Doomsday Preppers shows?? Am I the only person who believes that the world is NOT going to end? My husband is watching this right now...LOL. People are just crazy....maybe it's just me. Oh well

Sick, but not too sick for a NOTD

Hey fellow bloggers,

I am back from Germany boo ooh :( We finally landed in Seattle on Tuesday 10pm after being stuck in North Carolina for a day. My DH and I had to be back at work on Tuesday, but that didn't work out so well. LOL.
And now I caught a cold too!1 I feel like poo. I drank about 10 cups of tea at work, I have a terrible dry cough and I almost coughed out my lung at work LOL I hope I will at least get rid of the cough by tomorrow. I must be super annoying to my co-workers.
Either way, I have been too busy to get depressed about being back in the States. Usually, I am super depressed when I leave my family, but I have been caught up in work and I guess that's ok.
I still need to swatch some nail polishes that I bought in Germany.
Here is one of them: ESSENCE IN STYLE. I topped it with ESSIE MATTE OVER YOU.

I love the color. Really pretty. I have got to say, ESSENCE came a long way ever since I moved to the US (4 years) I never used to buy their cosmetics, but i gotta say, I am impressed by their selection and quality. For those who don't know ESSENCE, I think its is kind of like Wet and Wild, just a little bit more selection, but price wise the same. I think I will keep up with the colors on their website and ask my sister to mail me some more polish :D I paid 1.25 Euros for the polish, that is less than 2 bucks. Not bad :D

Well, I can feel the tiredness creeping up on me. Jet Lag, 9 hour time difference :(
Closing this post with a picture of my two loves :) Aren't they darling?????? Excuse my husbands Steelers hat...ewwwwwwww ;)
Buenas Noches,

Has it been a year yet????

Wow, I cannot believe it has been almost 1 year since my last post. There are two reasons why I decided to restart blogging: 1. I got a new Laptop =D bought a Mac Book Pro on Black Friday and 2. I am still getting comments from lots of lovely ladies here asking me to come back. So here I go :)
Anyway, this first post will be a little BLAH. I have no clue how to edit pictures on the Mac book LOL What's a good program I can use on here?? Any suggestions?
I have made some GREAT purchases lately. Here is a little something something :)
My new favorite dress that I bought at H&M about 2 weeks ago or so. 18 Dollars!!!! Can you believe it? Gotta love H&M :)

The last 2 pictures where taken in Puerto Rico last weekend :)

One shoulder dress bought yesterday at Love Coulture. Cute :)

My new Steve Madden purse I got on Black Friday at Nordstrom in Downtown Seattle. Oh and my lovely Diego who thinks he is a person LOL

I have a new obsession with nail polish :) My nail polish box is overflowing :-D But there are sooo many pretty colors out. And how cool is the crackle nail polish? That stuff is amazing. Here are some of my nails:

OPI Black Shatter over Wet and Wild Silvivor

Wet and Wild Hannah Pinktana over OPI What's a tire jack

Wet and Wild Teal or no Teal with Top Coat Essie Matte over you

Avon Matte nail polish in Black (color is great but lasts only a day, if at all :( )

OPI What's a tire Jack. Ringfinger: Wet and Wild Party of Five Glitter

That's it for now. Promise I will be on here more often!
Happy 1. Advent :)

OOTD & NOTD

Today was such a crappy day! It was raining ALL day. The kids at school were out of control. They didn't calm down at all, I don't know what the heck was wrong with them. My colleagues said the same thing about their classes, so I guess it was the weather or something. Hope tomorrow will be better or I will have to give them some extra work lol Well, this is my OOTD. Again, another dress from my job in the states, remember, black is professional?!? =D I wore different shoes to work today tho, no heels with 2nd graders hehe

Dress & Belt - Papaya
Peeptoes - Jumex
Bow Ring - Tally Weijl
Necklace - Swarovski

This is my current nailpolish. Wet n Wild mega last nail polish in RED TAPE

Well, I hope I can sleep better tonight. My sore throat is gone but I got a dry caugh and I kept caughing all night last night. So annoying =(

What a grey and trist october day....oh wait a minute...it's may! It's so cold and nasty, I'm wearing a winter sweater. Besides watching Germany's next topmodel tonight, I have no other plans today. So I thought, hey time to experiment with my Coastal Scents 88 Palette.
This time I tried some oranges and reds.
So this is what I used

And this is the result I got

I used:

Artdeco Base
L'Oreal Extra Volume Mascara
WnW Cream liner

on my lips:
WnW Mega Last Lip Color in Red Velvet

Wet n Wild Mini haul (NOTD)

Shopping on base I always have to stop by the cosmetic aisle. They always have great deals on make up at the PX/BX.
I could spend hours there..sigh =)
Recently, I've noticed some new Wet n Wild products and absolutely LOVED the colors. They had a sale and I paid 99ct for nailpolish and 1,99 USD for lipstick. The lipsticks were almost all sold out =( I grabbed two.
The lipstick are great for the price, very pigmented and not over-drying! The colors are fresh and vibrant.
"Mauve outta here" is my favorite! It's a barbie pink color. I Love it.
"Think Pink" is a light nude pink color.
                                                          Swatches
I bought 4 nailpolishes for 99cents each, thats unbeatable, so I had to try out a couple of colors. It's a decent polish for the price. It claims "5 days of chip resistant wear" and it kinda is, the color doesn't really chip, but fades at the tips after a couple of days, which is totally ok with me. I love the wide brush, it's really easy to use.
"Through the grapevine" is my favorite, it matches "Mauve outta here" =D It's a deep violet-purple color with a  blue tone. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Red Tape(pretty bright red), Candy-licious (bubble gum pink), Through the Grapevine, Disturiba ( shimmery plum purple)

I'm really liking wet n wild cosmetics more and more =)
Well time for a BBQ tehe
xoxo,
